This is a summer morning at its best — the kind of day that reminds you exactly why you live two blocks from the beach. The sky is that perfect Gearhart blue, clouds drifting lazily overhead, and the ocean is sparkling and calm beyond the dunes. I painted this outdoors, right there on the beach, trying to catch the warmth and light before it shifted. The linen canvas shows through in places, adding a natural warmth to the whole painting that I love.
