This small painting is the first one in this post — the meadow landscape we started with. I painted it looking out over the coastal fields toward the mountains on a soft, overcast morning when everything was pale and quiet. The yellow-green grasses stretched out ahead of me, the hills dissolving into a gray and lavender sky. Small in size but full of open space and stillness. A lovely piece for a desk, shelf, or as part of a collected gallery wall.
